The Berlin Wall was an important event that happened during the Cold War that I did know had as many details as it did. A lot went on during this time when they built the wall they separated East and West Berlin. The Eastern half of Berlin was considered the communist side rather than the West side was non-communistic. I did not know that they built it from people that were trying to flee to the West side of Berlin. Also they built it so people couldn't leave during the Cold War because communism was rising at the time. A lot of the people in East Berlin didn't want to live under the rules of the Soviets so they left to the West. The Soviets and the Eastern Berlin leaders got worried about people leaving as their population was degrading. So that's when they decided to build a wall so others could not leave to the West side and would have to stay on whatever side they were on. The wall separated lots of families and they couldn't see each other till 1989 and the wall was build in 1961. That't something I didn't know that they couldn't go see family if they were on the opposite side as them.

Honestly i'm curious onto why it got so bad in the first place. Yes I understand that every country that was involved in the war had some problem with each other, but also they could have solved it so much better then how they did. It's sad thinking about how the war started and how it wasn't even some peoples fault. But also thinking about how the "rulers" or "ministers" handled everything and how they just could have simply talked and came to an agreement instead of going and attacking or causing some huge problem. I feel like if they would have came to some agreement of some kind that WWII wouldn't have been as huge as it would and probably wouldn't have lasted as long as it did.
I don't really have questions on WWII but on to how and why it all had to end up going that route. WWII was such a huge and horrible war with how everything between all the countries were fighting for. So my question would just be, why did it all have to turn out like this? Could there have been a better way for it all to go down? Those are just my main questions about everything and why it was so bad. All the countries could have solved this a little better then how they did instead of making causes worse and making it such a huge deal in the long run.
Through out this WWII I have learned a lot about how it began and how it all ended. I've learned that Germany was not the only big country to be apart of this war and that other countries had been brought into it as well. There were many outrages things that had happened in order for all the countries to have started the war. With Germany and everything going on with the Jews and with Japan bombing Pearl Harbor. Also France, Great Britain, the Soviet Union and the United States all the in war. There was many things that had happened through out that i didn't realize even happened.
Three things iv'e learned about WWI is that 90,000 people have died from the gas that was exploded around them. Also that most of the troops were mostly killed by disease or starvation at the time. Over 13 million people died during WWI. So I thought that was pretty interesting things iv'e learned while researching about WWI. And then learning about all the different artifacts and what they were used for and why they were so important during the time of the war.
The easiest learning process for me would be coming up or asking questions. This part is easy because it not that hard for me to come up with questions and if i'm curious about something that was going on during these wars it won't be hard to ask questions about that topic. The hardest learning process for me is collaborating. Collaborating with others about what they are doing might not necessarily do me any good. Yes they might give good information and Intel about what they are doing but I just don't know if that would help me. Especially having to have different aspects on what you are doing and not the same as every other person.
What is going to be the easiest part of the Learning Process (Questioning, Collaboration, Research, Project Management, Craftsmanship, Public Product, Reflection) for you? What is going to be the hardest?
*Please tell me why so that I can see how I can provide support. - The easiest part of the learning process will probably be the questioning part and being able to collaborate with others. Coming up with questions isn't that hard to do about that certain topic. Also collaborating with others make it easier to work on the project because your getting feed back and advice. The hardest in my opinion is probably going to be the project itself and the public product. The project is going to need to have lots of reasonable research that needs to be good and that others will understand. And the public product it going to be a little hard just cause it needs to be presentable and contain information that is needed. |
